Luster-On Sealer 90C
Luster-On Sealer 90C is a water soluble silicate sealer, which when applied over chromated zinc plate, enhances the corrosion resistance of the chromate film. A fluorescent dye can be incorporated in the sealer to aid in detection of the product on treated parts. The sealer can also be used to reduce the iridescence of chromate films. Both rack and barrel work can be processed through Luster-On Sealer 90C in either automatic or manual systems. Luster-On Sealer 90C is best applied in the final hot water rinse.
An aqueous polymeric emulsion designed to form a clear, protective film on metal surfaces. It is particularly well suited to the need for increased corrosion protection over chromate zinc plated surfaces. Luster-Lac 404 dries to a hard, thin, water insoluble barrier providing salt spray and abrasion resistance. Salt spray tests show that over 100 hours to white corrosion can be achieved with Luster-Lac 404 and a blue bright chromate, over 500 hours to white corrosion with 404 and a yellow iridescent chromate. Luster-Lac 404 is applied in the final rinse and can be dried at temperatures up to 400 ºF. It provides an economical answer to the need for greater corrosion protection on plated and unplated surfaces. Laster-Lac 606 provides similar protection over brass or other metals when a chromate film is not present. An aqueous acrylic emulsion designed to form a clear, protective film on metal surfaces. It is particularly well suited to the need for increased corrosion protection over chromated zinc plated surfaces. Luster-Lac FS dries to a hard, thin, water insoluble barrier providing salt spray and abrasion resistance. Luster-Lac FS is applied in the final rinse and can be dried in standard ding equipment. it provides an economical answer to the need for greater corrosion protection on plated and unplated surfaces.
A wax emulsion designed to form a clear, dry lubricant film on metal surfaces. Luster-Wax 12 is applied in the final rinse and can easily be hot air dried in existing drying equipment. The water emulsifiable material is easily and safely diluted and applied to desired film thickness by immersion. Luster-Wax 12 contains an ultraviolet tracer dye that can be used with a fluorescent detector to confirm the presence of the wax film on the parts.
